This is something that everybody talks about but never takes action on: Redeeming your reward points. Be it for a hotel room, airline reservation, or even a cruise, there are tons of reward programs out there. Lot’s of people sign up and accumulate points, but then let those points sit and gather dust. I just used some of my Marriot Rewards points tonight to book a hotel room, and it cost me only a small fraction of my total points. Go ahead and check your balances and possible rewards, and you might be surprised at what you find.

If you’ve ever stayed at a hotel, you know they usually provide you with those miniature shampoos, soap, conditioners, etc. When you stay at place that provides these, you should take a few with you when you leave. Why? It’s not to save money, rather for convenience.
When traveling, you might not always be staying at a place that provides you with shampoo and the other necessities you use everyday. Some examples of this could be a budget motel, camping, or even a vacation house that is not used very often. If you keep the travel sized goods mentioned above with you, then you don’t have to worry about this.
