It’s summer time, and for pasty people like me that means one thing: Sunburns galore. Even when I slap on the latest suntan lotion from NASA, I still seem to get a burn somewhere unpleasant. Luckily there is a great product out there that provides instant relief to even the worst sunburns. What is this miracle product? Does the government know about it? Does it cost an internal organ to purchase?

In short: It’s called Solarcaine, I’m pretty sure the government knows about it, and it only costs an organ if you buy it from me (hey, I have bills to pay). This is a cold spray that you apply to your burn and then let dry for a few minutes. It begins to work almost instantly, and in my experience lasts for a decent amount of time (at least four hours). You can even pick it up at your local pharmacy or grocery store for relatively cheap, easily under ten dollars.

Give it a shot the next time you get a sunburn. I think you’ll be as happy with the results as I am.

• Today’s Tip of the Day concerns my most hated grocery store chain, Safeway.  Be sure to read it, it may just save your life (ok, maybe not, but it could save you from an upset stomach or a bad rash…I’m just saying).

You heard me.  I have a Safeway in my office building, and it is pretty bad.  Here is a list of top 3 things I dislike about it:

1. It smells funky.  I don’t know what it is, but it isn’t strawberries.
2. The “Produce” is nasty.  Obviously, it is neither fresh nor tasty.
3. In addition to #2, anything not pre-packaged that lasts for a long time is pretty nasty.  I have gotten bad milk there on a number of occasions, along with bad nuts, produce, etc.

So in summary, stay away from Safeway when it comes to lunch time or break time.  The fact that it is IN MY BUILDING and I suggest this should be enough to warn you away.
