Oh, I don’t own a house. Is that a problem?

On average, I probably get two to three calls a day inquiring if I want to refinance my mortgage. informs that they’ve already pre-qualified me for a great deal on a refinance, all I have to do is call! Sometimes, I’ll even get a “personal” message from Cindy, John, Joe, or Bucky letting me know about this deal, since we talked about it the other day at happy hour. The only problem with this fantabulous (really, neither fantastic nor fabulous fully express my excitement) deal is the simple fact that all of the above information is bunk.

Not only have I never met Cindy, John, Joe, or Bucky, but I don’t even own a house. This doesn’t stop the calls, but it brings up an interesting question: With all of the lists of peoples information that are available, isn’t there one that only has people who own houses on it? I would think that this would be relatively easy to do, and would save the telemarketers time and money as their marketing would be much better targeted.

These calls are so annoying, that I’m really tempted to just go through the whole process with them until I get to the end, and then drop the “Oh, I don’t own a house. Is that a problem?” bomb. Just to see how they like having their time wasted. As vindictive as it sounds, this option is looking better and better each time I get called.

What does everybody else think? Shall I have to wage a personal war, or can we get a whole “Telemarketer Revolution” going?

Viva La Revolution!

My God! The price of houses these days! What the He– is going on here? If things keep going the way they are the next genertion will be totally priced out of the market. Hey, if you don’t need a house then don’t buy one!!! If you are single, buy a cheap trailer for a while and buy a pieec of land. This housing market is rediculous. My wife & I are going to rent a townhouse next year and sell our house. Then let the real estate investors, clean, fix, cut the grass etc. and if they don’t do it right, I’ll be calling THEM at 1:00 A.M. to get it done right!!!
