Oh, I don’t own a house. Is that a problem?
On average, I probably get two to three calls a day inquiring if I want to refinance my mortgage.
Not only have I never met Cindy, John, Joe, or Bucky, but I don’t even own a house. This doesn’t stop the calls, but it brings up an interesting question: With all of the lists of peoples information that are available, isn’t there one that only has people who own houses on it? I would think that this would be relatively easy to do, and would save the telemarketers time and money as their marketing would be much better targeted.
These calls are so annoying, that I’m really tempted to just go through the whole process with them until I get to the end, and then drop the “Oh, I don’t own a house. Is that a problem?” bomb. Just to see how they like having their time wasted. As vindictive as it sounds, this option is looking better and better each time I get called.
What does everybody else think? Shall I have to wage a personal war, or can we get a whole “Telemarketer Revolution” going?
Viva La Revolution!
