Most of the time, your installation of Microsoft Office will come with a decent size collection of Clip Art. However, there are some occasions where your default collection won’t do, and you need something specific. While you can find other images online to suit your needs, this can sometimes be a hassle (searching for a specific picture, being able to download it for free, etc). That’s why your online search for Clip Art should start with….Microsoft (I know, it’s shocking)!

To do this, simply go to this address:

This is the home for downloading free Clip Art from Microsoft. All you have to do is use the Search bar at the top of the page to find the Clip Art you need.

When you’ve found a picture you want, click on the check box below it. This will put that picture in your Selection Basket (seen in the sidebar on the left hand side of the page). If you’re done browsing and want to download your selected pictures, click the Download (number) items link under the Selection Basket portion of the sidebar and follow the download instructions. This will download those pictures right to where your other Clip Art resides, and the Clip Organizer will open. You don’t need to do anything with this, so you can close it.

Now that you have the Clip Art you need, you can access it like you would your pre-installed Clip Art.

You might not find exactly what you need from Microsoft’s site, but it’s definitely worth it to check there first as it could save you a lot of time and frustration in the long run. Also, their collections are actually pretty well done, so you should be able to find some quality items there.
